Application Advice

For best results, apply at temperatures above 12°C to help ensure effective adhesion and a long-lasting waterproof seal.

When applying Black Jack Flashing Tape in temperatures below 12°C, gentle warming of the tape and application surface may be required to improve flexibility and adhesion. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding suitable warming methods and application conditions.

Before application, ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, loose material and other contaminants. Apply firm, even pressure to achieve good contact between the adhesive and the surface.

If applying to a porous surface such as brick or concrete, prime with Sika Black Jack Bitumen and Flashing Primer to ensure strong adhesion.
