EVERBUILD Lead Mate Patination Oil is specially designed to protect newly installed leadwork by preventing unsightly white carbonate staining on both the lead and surrounding surfaces such as tiles, brickwork, and stone. With just a single coat, it enhances the appearance of new lead by giving it a consistent, attractive finish, while supporting the natural ageing process as the lead develops its patina. Applying this treatment is especially important in areas where water runoff from the lead may contact nearby surfaces, as this can intensify staining on materials like brick and tile.

Application Instructions

• Always wear gloves and only apply in a well ventilated area.
• Shake container well before use.
• Surfaces must be totally dry before application.

Application Method / Tools

• Apply oil evenly using a soft absorbent cloth, work horizontally starting at the top and maintain a wet edge at all times. DO NOT APPLY IN A CIRCULAR MOTION AS THIS WILL LEAVE AN IMPRESSION ON THE LEAD.
• Only one coat is required.
• Before clipping apply to underside of lead to approx 50 mm from the edge.
• Apply to all areas, including clips and trim, and coat between laps.
• VERY IMPORTANT – Always apply as soon as possible after installation, or at the end of each working day, or if rain is expected apply before rain.
